This includes a 200+ page technical overview of NeoAccess in Microsoft Word format. While this sounds like a lot of information, don't worry. The intro manual has been laid out to provide progressively more detailed information as you read it. You can stop reading as soon as you feel you have leaned enough for your purposes.
NeoAccess includes full support for the latest versions of Symantec’s THINK Class Library, Apple’s MacApp, MetroWerk's PowerPlant, Borland’s ObjectWindows, Inmark’s zApp, Microsoft's Foundation Classes, custom application frameworks of your own design and even without an application framework at all.
This release includes sample applications which were built using various development environments and application frameworks.
The NeoBench application is a benchmark application that shows you the performance of the system.
Laughs creates a database named "Laughter" in the same folder as the application. Three persistent objects are added to the file. The program can also open an existing database file and display the contents.
The NeoDemo application can be used to store and retrieve images in a database. It was built using the THINK Class Library.
Full source code for these applications is included for your perusal. While most of the source of the applications deals with user-interface issues, it will give you a good idea of how applications are built using NeoAccess. The Laughs sample is the most straightforward. The NeoAccess Introductory manual also includes a tutorial which explains the Laughs sample in great detail.
